Real interesting show for you today. What if I told you everything you are currently doing for your dental health really doesn’t make a difference? Worse yet, what if I told you things you are doing are speeding up your dental decline? What if I told you the American Dental Association’s theory of tooth decay is flawed?
That’s the hypothesis of today’s guest Ramiel Nagel.
its time to make our fighting weight with Ramiel Nagel.
Thanks for being here Ramiel
Can you first tell us a little bit about yourself, your background and why you became a Dental Health Advocate
ADA Official position on Tooth decay: It occurs when foods containing carbohydrates (sugars and starches) such as breads, cereals, milk, soda, fruits, cakes, or candy are left on the teeth. Bacteria that live in the mouth digest these foods, turning them into acids. The bacteria, acid, food debris, and saliva combine to form plaque, which clings to the teeth. The acids in plaque dissolve the enamel surface of the teeth, creating holes in the teeth called cavities, or caries. That actually makes sense to me
By the age of 39, close to 90% of the United States population has at least one tooth affected by decay. Clearly what we are doing isn’t working. Why is it so hard to figure out dental disease. There are cultures that have close to zero dental disease. Wouldn’t it just be easier to model them? Why is this so hard?

Healingourchildren.net Introduction to Natural Dentistry Natural dentistry is a branch of dentistry that focuses on using holistic and non-invasive techniques to maintain oral health. Unlike traditional dentistry, which often relies on chemicals and artificial materials, natural dentistry prioritizes the use of natural materials and techniques that are gentle on the body and the environment. Benefits of Natural Dentistry There are several benefits of choosing natural dentistry over traditional dentistry. Some of the most notable benefits include: Minimal Invasiveness Natural dentistry techniques are designed to be as minimally invasive as possible. This means that natural dentists will often use non-invasive procedures, such as air abrasion, to clean teeth instead of drilling. Reduced Exposure to Toxins Many traditional dental products, such as amalgam fillings, contain toxic substances that can be harmful to the body. By choosing natural dentistry, you can reduce your exposure to these toxins and protect your overall health. Focus on Whole Body Health Natural dentistry takes a holistic approach to oral health, recognizing that the mouth is connected to the rest of the body. Natural dentists will often work with other health practitioners to address the root cause of oral health issues, rather than just treating the symptoms. Environmentally-Friendly Practices Natural dentistry is often more environmentally-friendly than traditional dentistry. For example, many natural dentists use biodegradable products and minimize waste. Techniques Used in Natural Dentistry There are several techniques used in natural dentistry to maintain oral health. Some of the most common techniques include: Air Abrasion Air abrasion is a non-invasive procedure that uses a stream of air and tiny particles to remove plaque and tartar from teeth. Oil Pulling Oil pulling is a traditional Ayurvedic practice that involves swishing oil in the mouth to remove toxins and improve oral health. Herb-Infused Rinse Herb-infused rinses can be used to clean the mouth and promote oral health. For example, some natural dentists may recommend using a rinse made with neem oil to kill bacteria in the mouth. Dietary Changes Dietary changes, such as reducing sugar and increasing fiber, can have a significant impact on oral health. Natural dentists will often make dietary recommendations to their patients to improve their overall health. Conclusion Natural dentistry is a growing field that offers several benefits over traditional dentistry. By choosing a natural dentist, you can reduce your exposure to toxins, improve your overall health, and minimize the invasiveness of dental procedures. If you're interested in learning more about natural dentistry and how it can benefit you, contact a natural dentist in your area today.
Do germs cause cavities?
PH Balance and tooth decay?
They are now saying that raisins actually fight tooth disease because they promote good bacteria but you are saying they are on the wrong track all together because the bacteria model which is what they base their whole theory on is flawed. It is a blood sugar issue.
